Things I love about my home.

I am, once again, reminded to never say never.

I was miserable in college. I hated living in an apartment. I repeatedly said that I would NEVER EVER live in an apartment again. Living like ants is ridiculous and there is no privacy.

We have been in our apartment for a month now, and it is a completely different experience. Maybe my frustrations were not living in an apartment, but living in an apartment that was packed full of immature college kids.

I eat my words again when I remember how often I told anyone that asked that getting married really didn't change anything between Tyler and I. I realize now what being married should have changed, now that it is only us. I am grateful beyond words for all the help we had after graduation, up until this point, but being on our own has strengthened our relationship in so many ways.

Although it would have been ideal for us to have moved into a house, it would have taken us until at least May to have gotten into one...so here we are-Nested into a tiny apartment (that I was convinced I would hate), completely, and utterly, Happy.

Here are my favorite things:

The view from the front door. I am so in love with our couches it is not even funny.
This weekend, I plan on finally painting on the canvases that I got to go above the couch.

The "toy box" full of babies. Rizzo believes she can play with all of these at once, so I am constantly picking them up and putting them back where they belong. I think it is so adorable.

I moved their bed right beside the toys. Since we got new couches, we are trying to keep the pups off of them. This is not working extremely well..but when they do get kicked off, they try to share this bed. Melts my heart.

This perfect picture frame we got as a wedding gift from our beautiful friend Sontera.

P.S.-Anna you forgot your pictures on my table. haha :)

The contents in these frames. The large one is a Christmas printable which I plan on switching out to a Valentines day one tomorrow. I got this one from The Jones Design Company. (www.jonesdesigncompany.com)

The smaller one I made Tyler for Christmas. When I say made, I mean I downloaded the printable from a blog called The Dating Divas (which I looooooooove!), and put it in a frame. Wrote a note on there and wrapped it. I love seeing his super sweet messages on it..but I really love letting him know different reasons I love him.

We got this corner shelf for Christmas, and I love it. I didn't realize the corner was so naked until I put that there. I am working on putting pictures in frames to put on there without it being overcrowded like it is now.

Can't decide what from this picture is my favorite.

Got this fork and spoon from my wonderful Daddy-o for Christmas. So stinking cute.

We got the giraffe in Jamaica on our honeymoon.

These blocks were one of my favorite wedding gifts. I say favorite because there were so many great gifts that we got. If I were to make those blocks true to how our name was pronounced at the wedding, I would switch that "L" and "B".  Haha! At least I can joke about it now.

The cross in the corner was the unity cross we used at the wedding. Such a significant symbol of our relationship. The outside cross was meant to represent Tyler. The inside cross was meant to represent me.

Got that super cool Keurig from my sister for Christmas.

Found that fruit basket at Hobby Lobby. Had my eyes on it for a long time. I am embarrassed that it is empty..but still had to include it in my favorite things.

The coffee cups were a wedding gift also. Once again, I am blown away by the thought that went into each gift we received. Such an amazing addition to our kitchen.

Next to that is one of my favorite pictures from our honeymoon. Us on a boat, in front of Mick Jaggers old house.

I honestly couldn't tell you how long it took us to pick out the perfect bed set. I do believe we found it.

The teddy bear-Tyler gave me after we had been dating for one month. And I am still holding onto the little guy. He came to pick me up, and I got in his truck, and he had him buckled into the passenger seat. I guess I knew then that I had picked a winner.

I know what you're thinking. You love that little closet?? Yes...yes I do. I would love it more if Tyler didn't have more clothes than me.

This is exactly where I sit now as I type this book. Such a cute little nook. On the wall above all the computer necessities, is my favorite picture of Tyler and his family. Tyler won the Monkey/Banana for me at a Bachelor Party...or so he says. :)

Had to zoom in on yet another perfect wedding gift combo. Sometimes, as I sit on the computer, I catch myself just staring at these.

As I bring this blog post to a close, I am still at amazed at my life. I would have never thought it would be possible to be this happy.

On top of that..this is my 3rd post in 3 days. Preeetttyy amazing for me. :)
