At some point, my focus has shifted from not having enough time to get everything done to focusing my time on nothing. Maybe this happened once I graduated and couldn't find a job, but my days now revolve around a tv schedule. I have never been one to watch too much tv, but now I find myself looking forward to the days my shows come on. But wait, it gets worse...I am constantly adding more to it!
Here is my current schedule:
Sunday Nights: Desperate Housewives
Monday nights: Gossip Girl, 90210, The Bachelor, Pretty Little Liars
Tuesday Nights: Glee (coming back soon), The Biggest Loser
Wednesday Nights: American Idol, The Middle, Better With You, Cougar Town, Modern Family, Toddlers and Tiaras, Storage Wars
Thursday Nights: American Idol, Jersey Shore
On my list to catch up on is The Office, The Vampire Diaries, Ugly Betty and Greys Anatomy.
The TV obviously is getting a work out, and I am developing into a couch potato. DVR is a life saver when it comes to this because it is impossible to get all of these shows in on the days they come on.
Also, on a more important note, Today is Tyler's dad birthday. I can not put into words how much I miss him. I loved him like a dad, and he treated me just like a daughter. It is extremely difficult not to be sad today. I just have to constantly remind myself that today should be a day that celebrates his life, not mourns the loss of a wonderful life here on earth. I know he is much happier in Heaven and watches over us everyday.

This Weekend.
It is always a blessing to spend time with my family and I try to cherish every moment that I get. This past weekend, we went up to my dads. It's really cool to get to go up there and see him and my sister, Heidi. An added bonus is that my grandpa lives one street over, so we get to sneak in a hug or 2 from him. We went fishing, and although we didn't catch anything, I was able to get a few good pics with my super cool camera.

Tyler fishes like me...Dad said he got a bite over there, so Tyler moseyed on over to try his luck. As if that were the only spot to fish from that you can get a bite at.
Now that I have a big girl job, I have come to really appreciate the weekends. I couldn't have thought of a better way to spend my time. :)

Why is this so hard?
I do not understand why it has been so difficult for me to sit down and actually write this. There has just been so much going on! I can't believe the last thing I wrote about was Friends-giving, so I guess I should pick back up from then...
December flleeewwww by. I don't really have any thoughts that come to mind as to what I could have been doing. I was still working at the hair salon and day spa when they needed me, and doing temp work as well. Planning our trip to Colorado was something that was probably weighing heavily on my mind. Christmas came and went so fast. My favorite gift for Christmas (and my life) was my camera from my Dad. He combined my graduation and Christmas present to create a Canon 60d...and it is awesome! Photography is something that I love very much. My Grandpa is a retired professional photographer, and has been a very big inspiration to me growing up. Holly let me convince her to let me take some pictures of her...and here are a few of my favorites.
Speaking of pictures...I also feel the need to share how adorable my little cousin is. I can't believe how fast she is growing. She is 4 months now and has the cutest personality ever. I am so in love with her.
In this photo is my Aunt and Uncle, cousin and his baby Paislee. They are too cute.
Back to what I have been up to...
We went to Colorado in January. I do not think I can explain the love I feel for this place. Although I do not think it is somewhere I would ever want to live, it is a place I hold dear to my heart. I do not know how you can be in such a beautiful place and be grumpy. I absolutely love snowboarding, and that is exactly what we did there...for 2 days. The plan was to go everyday that we were there, however, I hurt myself on the second day. I really believe that I broke my tailbone, because it is still so painful to sit down. I did not go to the doctor though.
We got back into Houston on a Friday night, and I started my job on that following Monday. I absolutely love my job. I am now the granite division manager at a tile and granite company. The girl whose position I am taking, is having her first baby in March, and is blessed enough to stay home with her full time. I am working with her until the end of February, then I am on my own. I do not think there could be a more perfect job for me. I love that it is Monday-Friday. It is a casual environment, I can pretty much wear whatever I want to to work. The girls in the office are awesome. The girl I share an office with, 2 girls down the hall, my boss, the owners, 3 guys in our other office and the girl that is leaving all graduated from SHSU. It's pretty awesome to share that bond with them.
Although I think Tyler enjoys staying home all day, he is still looking for a job. I try my best not to get his spirits down, because I know how easy it is to get down on yourself when you can't find a job.
This weekend, I am extremely excited to go visit my Dad. I suggested that we go fishing. I have not been in forever. Hopefully I will catch a big one!
